Went to a traditional japanese restaurant then to a bar outside of Tokyo and got really drunk, sung karaoke (i did what was later called one of the greatest 80′s renditions of motley crue’s kick start my heart and a truly moving tribute to queen with bohemian rhapsody) and realized we were stuck until the trains started again at 5am and slept at the train station. We got on the train and when we finally got home a hour later i passed on in bed cuddling teddy.

Went and hung out at the batting page and played copious amounts. The man knew we were regulars and gave us all free games.

Spent a lot of time at all of the video game arcades which ruled, Sean and i were playing claw machines, i won my teddy a couple girlfriends.

We went to Harajuku again to see some of the girls, we saw a few of them and we also saw so many cute girls with amazing legs i fell in love at least 100 times.

Caught the train to the airport and left the one place that i actually loved, i missed nothing while i was gone except my tv.

Now that i’m back home i cant stand being here, I want to leave again as soon as possible.

Sunday morning we woke up pretty late and cleaned up the room, we went and got breakfast and decided to kill some time in one of the million game arcades found all around tokyo, Pat and i played Gundam this game where you control giant robots and try to blow each other up and it was insane! joy sticks and everything it was so fun, then we played Tekken 6 which was good until a japanese dude came and decided to ruin my fun by challenging me and destroying me.

We went to Harajuku to hang out with the Harajuku girls but we saw none, worst! and go shopping and they had such rad boutiques there with the best clothes but it was all so expensive! There were also heaps of op shops that had good stuff but something about wearing old peoples clothes seems a bit odd to me. A lady ambushed us out the front of a store and asked for all our information and took our pictures because she needed westerners to model her clothes but we gave her fake deetz and got bailed. We looked around all of the boutiques and then went for dinner, it was about 6.30 already so we went to a italian restaurant and got shitty pizza and pasta then went home early and watched a movie because Mitch was leaving early in the morning and we had to wake up very early to leave for Mt. Fuji!

I finally fell asleep at around 1.30ish and heard the alarm go off at 5.30, we all tried to prolong the inevitable for as long as we could but after several more alarms we finally got up at 5.45 and got ready to leave for the station. We caught the train to Shinjuku because thats where our bus to Fuji was leaving from and mitch got off somewhere in between because he was leaving to back pack through Cambodia, Vietnam and Hong Kong for the next month or so. So we bid him farewell and arrived at Shinjuku frantically looking for the bus because we were late and very lost but we found it and got on the bus to Fuji. Sean, Pat and i were dead tired so we fell asleep on the way waking up momentarily along the way to see glimpses of Mt. fuji towering above the tokyo skyline. I couldn’t sleep any longer so i was just listening to music staring out the window at the desolate and isolated country side that was beautiful in its landscape but quite out of the way from the city that many people had abandoned it for the city, there were many houses there still though and it was such a nice location for them, so serene. 

I fell asleep again gazing out the window and awoke to the site of a giant snow laden mountain towering 100′s of feet above anything, and 1 amazingly tall, very large roller coaster. We got off the bus and it was freezing but we still had a few minutes before the theme park opened so we took pictures of Mt. Fuji and then went in. For the past couple of months that i’ve been psyched for this amusement park pat has been saying that we wouldn’t come on any rides at all and today he actually stuck to his guns which sucked because he did nothing the whole day and watched us have the best day ever but we did give him plenty of opportunities to come with us but still nothing, he wouldn’t come on anything at all not even the smaller rides so i think that maybe he has a hidden thing with rides. Sean and i headed for the biggest roller coaster first… Fujiyama. The whole way up the 70 metre drop i was freaking out but there was the most amazing view of everything. 

By the end of the Fujiyama i was literally weeping maybe from sheer terror, excitement, everything. It just got me so psyched on travelling, hanging out with friends overseas and giant roller coasters!

After that Sean and i went to Dodonpa which was one of the fastest roller coasters ever built and has the highest acceleration speed of any roller coaster, your cart is in a tunnel and immediately is accelerated to 172 km/h and goes through curves and up a giant vertical drop which you actually feel as if its going to fly off. After that Sean, Pat and i got lunch and Sean and i rode other rides getting psyched for Eejanaika, Which was a 4d roller coaster, 

“4th Dimension” coaster, a design in which the seats can rotate forward or backward 360 degrees in a controlled spin.”

BEST RIDE EVER!

Just from watching it i was terrified but Sean made me do it and im so happy he did because i would have been shattered if i didn’t but it actually was the scariest thing i have ever done/seen/been near in my life but it was so so rad. After that we went and found pat and had some fries and Sean and i wanted to go back to the Eejanaika but it was shutting so we couldn’t and the line for the Fujiyama was too big so we didn’t get to ride that again either so we left and took more pictures of Mt. Fuji and just had one last walk around before going to wait in the 4 degree weather by Mt. Fuji for our bus that we had to wait 2 hours for. We finally got on the bus and we were so dead and hungry we went straight to the ramen restaurant and i had the chili ramen with wedges on the side, it was amazing and i’m pretty sure that im in love with that girl who always serves us, she’s a bit cute. We finished that and rushed home in the cold and after this i’m going to pass out and not wake up for a long time.

Today has got me so psyched to travel, and i’m considering after this going home, saving, and coming back and back packing through all of japan because you definitely can not take all of this country in in such little time but we will see.

Well on friday morning we woke up and it was snowing!  We got ready and caught the train to Shibuya to spend the day shopping and looking around. We rode to the station whilst it was snowing and it was amazing, once we got into Shibuya it started snowing heavier and we walked across the giant intersection into the shopping district. We stopped for lunch and first kitchen and i had a lettuce burger meal with grape fanta which actually ruled! We looked around for a while and i bought a nice styled trench pea coat from the gap. We walked around through more stores and ended up going into all of the ghetto stores run by big black dudes which had really rad stuff but things you could get of karmaloop for half the price due to our shit exchange rate. We went into this pretty rad department store that had a lot of good clothes but again it ended up being not very cheap due to the exchange rate. In the department store they had a section full on Neon Genesis: Evangelion clothing line and they had the eva 01 robot statue which was so good.

We also went to the bape store and i found a amazing jacket but it was 40,000 yen which is like $800… Ooooop maybe not buy that today. We had lunch and i had a whopper with no mayonaise and cheese meal with green sour apple fanta and onion rings which i was so content with! We also looked through loadsa shoe shops and they had a fair few good pairs of shoes, ill probably go back and get a few pairs when we go back there to get more winter coats!

We left Shibuya and came home to kip for a while then went to dinner again at the ramen before leaving for Roppongi again looking for a good bar to hang out in.

Whilst walking the streets we got hustled by giant black men who would stand on the corners and try to get you to go into their booby bars by just yelling, “hey boy, this clubs got lots a tiities and beer… come with me!”. It sounds like a good combination but im fairly sure if we went it would be a room full of dudes waiting to rob any person who goes in. On the way to find a bar i bought a pikachu hat which is so good.

After we went to a horrible american wanna-be bar and drank over priced corona and played electric darts, we bailed from that club and got heckled more by black dudes hustlin’ and went into a downstairs bar which im pretty sure was the bar from cheers but who knows. We got a booth in this place and it was so crowded and watched these 2 japanese girls, what im pretty sure was get abducted by a seedy old indian man, if 2 japanese girls are on the news missing, i called it first. We drank pints at that bar for a while and when we left the trains were crazy crowded and the train men had to push everyone on so that everyone would fit, it was actually hilarious but i was pretty drunk so maybe thats why. We got to the train station and had to walk to find our bikes, eventually we did and we rode home and all passed out…

This morning we woke up very late and just hung around the hotel planning what to do, and chatted to precious zeldy most of the morning which was good. Mitch and Sean had to renew their visa’s to come and live here again at the end of the year so we went with them to do that but it was quite far away in a suburb i’m not to sure of but we caught the train there but on the way we stopped at the ramen restaurant for lunch, I ordered a giant bowl of rice and wedges, but when i got the rice there was a lot of egg and meat in it so after a while of trying to eat grain of rice at a time avoiding them i gave it to Mitch and Sean and i ordered more wedges. We got to the place they needed to be and walked a very long time through this isolated and very uninhabited place looking for the government building. We finally got there to realize it was closed which sucked so much, so we started the long walk back. We were going to go home but we decided to go to Shinjuku to have a look around there.

The place was so isolated it had such a ’28 weeks later’ feel to it, we all swore we were done for!

We caught the train to Shinjuku and the place was pretty crazy from the get go, we got off the train and walked out and there were so many lights and we headed down to the skyscraper district. We went in search of the sky lookout which is a giant building which you can go to the top of and look out at all of tokyo, word on the street is you can even see Mt. Fuji from it! After hours looking for it, only to realise that we had walked past it 30 mins ago and i had taken a picture of it we found it again, and we also found out it was closed. We were all so gutted.
Pat and i were dead tired after so much walking for today we decided to decline the offer to go hang out with one of Sean and Mitch’s buddies from the japanese snow fields for dinner and clubs and decided to just go home.
Getting home however proved to be more of a difficult task then we intended because Shinjuku is the opposite side of Tokyo to where home was. Eventually we finally figured it all out and finally got home. Today was quite disappointing in the sense that everything we wanted to do was closed but we did get the chance to bro down and just explore more of Tokyo so it wasn’t all a loss!

Tomorrow we are going to Harajuku to make out with all the harajuku girls, not really but i am psyched to see how weird they all are!

After all that fun we rode to the tokyo national museum and saw every ancient thing japan has ever dug up, everything was so rad and old but i was mainly interested in the samarai stuff!

We rode home from ueno but stopped off at a pasta place and has amazing spaghetti, then went home and just hung out in the hotel room, Mitch as always was really keen to drink and was trying to get us to before we went out so we rode to 7/11 and bought some chu-hi’s which come in different flavours, personally mine is the grape which is just alcoholic grape fanta so its pretty rad.
We drank for a bit, i kinda got off drinking the lemon chu-hi’s we had because it pretty much was like squeezing a lemon in your mouth, but we rode down to asakusa staton and caught the train to roppongi and looked for somewhere to have dinner, I was psyched to have dinner at the hard rock with every single other rock star who has ever been in japan,but we just looked and pictures and everyone but Mitch and Pat complained about how it was too expensive and we ended up having dinner with a very similar looking version of frank from everybody loves raymond which i though was the funniest thing ever. After that we went to find some club Sean got recommended and we got in and there was hardly anyone bar a few japanese girls and shaquelle o’ neill impersonator trying to crack on to them, so we bailed and just walked around the city and saw this giiiiiiiiant fish in a fish tank in a local store and i also found the most amazing onesie ever!

We tried to find the Roppongi hills tower that has a 360 view of all of tokyo from 50 storeys up but when we got there it was closed because it was raining, so we decided to just go home and go to the batting cage again before coming home.

Im dead tired after tonight but ill update tomorrow with all the fun we have tomorrow!

Today was pretty chill we just got used to being here and walked around the city for a while, and when we were coming home and we found a batting cage which could have been the most fun i have had in so long!
we stayed there for about 30 mins just attempting to hit home runs and just failing!
I’m certain by the end of the trip i will be baseball pro!

After that we came home and hung out for a bit and then took the train to the electric city not sure of its real name though, and we walked though there and it was just electronic shop after electronic shop and they were all at least 7 storeys tall full of everything and anything anyone could think of! It was mental just walking through and looking at everything, for the rest of the afternoon we just walked down this street seeing so many crazy things, like 6 storey tall anime porn stores. Me and Sean went into this retro video game store and were so psyched on all the old video games they had in there. they had so many zelda games it all just reminded me of a certain princess zelda back home (:

When we got home from all that we hung out on the balcony and just looked around at the view and was so good, and took some pictures.

After that we went to find a good ramen restaurant and when we found one it was amazing, i had a bean sprout dish with soup and rice and it was amazing! Only bad thing about here is finding good vegan food, but i’m trying my best and so far its been ok.
When we were walking home from dinner we went into the pachinko place and it was crazy!
Pachinko is a game where you play with metal balls in these weird machines and you can trade all the metal balls at the end for cigarettes and chocolate, very pointless but mental none the less!
Finally home and i’m dead tired so ill be falling asleep shortly.

Day 1 of Tokyo down, hopefully everyday is as good as today!
